Callan Boulevard and Southgate Avenue have been identified as Class III bike routes in the City's Bicycle Route Master Plan. The City was awarded a grant of $15,000 from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) under the Bicycle Facility Program (BFP) program for the installation of bike route signage and pavement markings along these streets.

This project includes installation of signs and pavement markings to designate the bike routes on Callan Boulevard from Serramonte Boulevard to Southgate Avenue and Southgate Avenue from St. Francis Boulevard to Junipero Serra Boulevard for a total length of approximately 1 mile.
