Annual Parking Permit Fee

On May 8, 2023, the City Council held a public hearing to consider fee increases. At that hearing, the City Council approved an increase to the annual permit fee to $200 effective July 1, 2023.

Parking Permit Expiration Date Extension

On June 26, 2023, the City Council reviewed the Commercial Vehicle Parking Permit Program and approved program updates. The new effective dates of the annual permit are January 1 through December 31. 

As such, all existing Commercial Vehicle Parking Permits will remain valid through December 31, 2023. 

Please do not visit the Finance Department to renew your Commercial Vehicle Parking Permit. The program will be transitioning to an online renewal system. More information will be provided in Fall 2023 for permit renewals. 

Parking Permit Issuance

No more than two (2) permits shall be issued for each qualified resident or business.

Two-Hour Parking Limit Zone

All Commercial Vehicle Parking Zones will be subject to a two-hour parking limit between the hours of 7AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays.

Falsified or Fraudulent Parking Permits

Where any permit issued under this section has been procured through fraud or misrepresentation, or where the permittee has violated provisions of this section, the Police Department shall issue a citation and the permittee will be required to remove the permit from the commercial vehicle and return to the Finance Department. The permit will be invalidated in the system for the remainder of the of the year in which the permit was issued and the permittee will be permanently restricted from participating in the program.   

Illegal Dumping

Any permittee caught illegally dumping in violation of Chapter 8.32 will have the permit immediately invalidated in the system for the remainder of the year in which the permit was issued and the permittee will be permanently restricted from participating in the program.

Fines and Penalties

Vehicles parked in the permitted commercial vehicle parking zones without displaying a city-issued permit will be subject to citation and penalties as outlined in Resolution No. 23-112 and summarized as follows:

Commercial Vehicle Parking Outside of the Permitted Commercial Vehicle Parking Zones:  $293.00

Commercial Vehicle Parking in the Permitted Commercial Vehicle Parking Zones without Displaying a Current City-Issued Permit: $124.00

Non-Commercial Vehicle Parking in the Permitted Commercial Vehicle Parking Zones: $124.00

NEW—Commercial Vehicle Parking in the Permitted Commercial Vehicle Parking Zones with Fraudulent or Falsified Permit: $585.00
