Hawaiian Hula Workshop

Guest instructors Mili Aranda and Allen Ogi will lead this all-ages program in exploring the dance, music, and language of Hawaiian Hula. 

Mili Aranda and Allen Ogi are members of the Hawaiian dance group Halau Kaiaulu.
Kaiaulu is a hula halau/school in San Francisco established by Kumu Hula Michael Yamashita in 1989, Kaiaulu has perpetuated the ancient and modern hulas of Hawaii.

Mili and Allen started Hau’oli Hula Hui, “Happy Hula Group”, during the 2020 pandemic when the shelter in place orders took effect. They wanted to help the community stay active, healthy and feel the Aloha spirit through online hula workshops. They now teach classes both in-person and on-line.
