Daly City Services During the 2020 Holiday Season: Closures, Street Sweeping, Parking Enforcement & Garbage Collection

 

Holiday Hours for City Offices

In celebration of the 2020 holiday season, Daly City Offices will be closed on:

• Thursday, December 24, 2020 through Friday, January 1, 2021

The Daly City Police and Fire Department will remain open throughout the holidays. To report an emergency, dial 9‐1‐1. Call (650) 991‐8119 to report non‐emergencies to the Daly City Police Department.

The Daly City Water & Wastewater Resources Department will remain open throughout the holidays. To report an emergency, dial (650) 991‐8200.

 

Street Sweeping

Street sweeping is suspended on the following dates:

• Thursday, December 24, 2020 through Friday, January 1, 2021

Street sweeping will resume on Monday, January 4, 2021.

 

Police Parking Enforcement

The Police Department will suspend street sweeping parking enforcement on:

• Thursday, December 24, 2020 through Friday, January 1, 2021

However, all other parking enforcement activities, such as parking meter enforcement, will continue to be provided.

 

Garbage & Recycling Collection Changes

Republic Services has modified their schedule as follows:

Customers with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday collection days are unaffected by the holidays.

For Friday collection days, Republic Services will instead collect on Saturdays, December 26, 2020 & January 2, 2021.

Republic’s offices will be open during the holidays, except they will be closed starting at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and all day on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Christmas Tree Collection

Christmas tree collection will take place on regular service days. Please follow these collection guidelines when placing your tree out for collection:

• Trees must be cut into 6 ft. sections.

• Stands, lights and decorations must be removed.

• Place trees next to green cart for removal. Flocked trees will be collected but not recycled.

• Multi‐family residents should contact their property manager for more information regarding disposal or call Customer Service to arrange for pickup.

• After January 29, 2021, you must cut up the tree to fit in your green‐waste container or call Customer Service to arrange for pickup.
