Captain Cameron Christensen started his Daly City career as a patrol officer in 2004, where he served as a use of force and firearms instructor, Field Training Officer, Detective and SWAT Team member.
Cameron was promoted to Sergeant in 2007. As a Sergeant, he was responsible for the direct supervision of patrol teams, the Traffic Unit, the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force, and he became a SWAT team leader.
Cameron was promoted to Lieutenant in 2013 and was assigned as a Patrol Watch Commander overseeing department operations, patrol officers and sergeants assigned to his division. He also became the Daly City SWAT Commander. In 2015, he was assigned as the Technical Services Division Lieutenant, which oversees all logistical aspects of the organization outside of patrol operations.
On June 4th, 2018, Cameron was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. As a Police Captain, he is currently responsible for the Field Operations Bureau, which includes all patrol operations, the Traffic Unit, and SWAT.
Cameron has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the Union Institute and University, and a Master’s degree in Management, Organizational Leadership, from the American Military University.
