Support Services Bureau

The Support Services Bureau is commanded by Captain Ignacio Reyes.

Career

Captain Ignacio Reyes started his law enforcement career as a Patrol Officer in 2001. He later joined the Daly City Department, where he served as a Field Training Officer and Detective. In 2012, he was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to the Field Operations Bureau, where he worked as a Field Supervisor. From 2013 - 2016, Ignacio was assigned to the Training Division, overseeing the Field Training Program, Hiring, and Recruitment team. Between 2017 and 2019, Ignacio supervised the Crime Suppression Unit. In 2021, Ignacio was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned to the Field Operations Bureau as a Watch Commander overseeing the department's daily operations, including the supervision of Patrol Officers and Sergeants assigned to his division. In 2022, he was assigned as the Administrative Support Services Commander, overseeing the Community Division, Records Division, Property Division, and Technical Service Unit. On October 28, 2023, Ignacio was promoted to the rank of Captain.

Education

Captain Reyes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He graduated from the eight (8) month-long Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. The Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute is a program designed to stimulate personal growth, leadership, and ethical decision-making in California Law Enforcement front-line supervisors. Ignacio is scheduled to attend the FBI National Academy.
