In 2017, the City of Daly City was awarded Sustainable Communities grant funds by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to update the City’s prior Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan to further improve bicycle and pedestrian safety and accessibility in Daly City. The Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan 2020, commonly known as the “Walk Bike Daly City” project launched in March 2018. The project team attended several public outreach events and conducted a website survey with a pinnable map in preparation of the final Plan, which was adopted by City Council on February 24, 2020.
