Protecting All Residents, Upholding Our Values
Statement on Immigration Policies
Daly City is proud of its long history as a community of immigrants and reaffirms its commitment to protecting the rights and safety of every person, regardless of immigration status.
The City follows the principles of the California Values Act (SB 54), which ensures that:
- City and Police Department resources are not used for federal immigration enforcement.
- Personal information collected by the City is not shared for immigration purposes.
- Everyone can safely access schools, hospitals, and City services.
Our focus is on public safety, trust, and inclusion. We are here to serve and protect all residents, ensuring that everyone who lives, works, or visits Daly City feels safe and welcome.
If you have questions or feel unsafe, please reach out to City staff or the Daly City Police Department's non-emergency line for safety concerns - not immigration enforcement. We do not ask about immigration status, and we do not coordinate with ICE or other Federal agencies.
