Small Business Assistance

The City of Daly City is committed to supporting its small business community as it represents an essential aspect of Daly City's identity, economy, and workforce. Starting with the formation of the City's first Small Business Commission, the City has prioritized making it easier for Daly City small businesses to open, operate and grow. As part of this effort, the Economic and Community Development Department has created this Small Business Assistance Portal as a comprehensive online resource for local small businesses.

New San Mateo County Health Order

The new San Mateo County Health Order, effective June 17, 2020, aligns the County with Gov. Gavin Newsom's Resilience Roadmap. Businesses in San Mateo County will now follow the state's schedule for reopening but must adhere to the local order's COVID-19 safety measures and follow state guidance.

Businesses eligible to resume operations include:

  • Campgrounds/outdoor recreation
  • Cardrooms and racetracks
  • Casinos
  • Dine-in restaurants
  • Family entertainment centers
  • Gyms and fitness centers
  • Hair salons and barber shops
  • Hotels
  • Restaurants
  • Wineries and bars
  • Zoos and museums
