Applying for Quick Permit

Some minor projects can be permitted quickly (over the counter) without the need for a full plan review. Quick permits are designed to save you time while ensuring the work still meets safety and code requirements.

To streamline the quick permit process, you can now choose to apply for quick permits through our portal. A list of applicable projects can be found in the table below.

Licensed Contractors

California law requires that all home improvement projects valuated at more than $500 for labor and materials be performed by a licensed contractor.
